glad you called him out on it before i did. i have NEVER head a bad JL, MTX, or Kicker system (other than one guy in a caprice with 2 solo baric Solo X subs (if you aren't familiar... 10,000watts capable!!) it was just wayyyyyyyyyy to loud.)

Yeah... one of the decent Kicker subs is over 500 bucks.... i remember having one in the back of the GST... and it would move the hatch glass

Im not saying they are bad subs. Just saying that for the price of MOST you can get better in most cases. JL is majorly overrated IMO.

you are entitled to your opinion like everybody is but i think that JL is everything it is hyped up to be. but YES i do concider them over priced.... there is no way i'd pay $750 for 1 w712 most people who hav eheard them would say in a second that they are worth the money but i just don't care about my sound that much to spend that kinda money?

Im with you on JL and MTX... But kicker Solobarics, well the L7 anyways, sucked... the square ones... they were prone to problems, as they were a new design yes... but Ive heard lots of bad, and blown one myself..

You insane? The SL7 was the one in the back of the GST and that thing never ever had problems and i have never heard of them having problems either.

The only problems i have heard of was because people bought ****ty amps. There was never a problem with kicker equipment

the problems i heard from them was that they would blow the coils in them over and over and over... now usually it's just a matter of calling kicker and them sending a new one out but still... idk i had 2 Kicker 10's and they hit pretty damn hard.

i think its kinda like - NHRA dragsters break **** all the time... why? b/c they are so powerful. when you strap 10,000watts of power to a subwoofer... it is highly possible for something to give... i think it's just one of those things that comes w/ the territory of owning them. well worth it to me... i'd put a 1000w RMS amp on that thing and 'LET ER EAT!' lol
