i hear that. Joshewuhh... don't you drive an RS? just got back from dealership, they are making this deal very lukerative. they agreed to pay the difference to bring my payments combined down to 400. that's 250/car 150/insurance. i honestly just dont want the car now though.

 

funny thing, i talked to a guy at the gas stationg yesterday and he had a 03 srt-4 number 100 in california, and he said everything that could possibly go wrong, has gone wrong with it. lol, i swear he said his intercooler went out, turbo, tranny............everything was under warranty and he had it all replaced. and its all stock, and its running rich lol. he said he wouldnt recommend it.

 

Evo interior is plain jane SRT interior is lame gauges sepcially. The FWD thing kill the SRT big time and the fact the rear window are crank down and not power is lame to me. You dont need to out handle anything or autox the car. just find an opertunity to take home an Evo for a day or two and youll buy it. It is fun in every single aspect of being a cruiser sports car. bottom line to me is not the interior but the extreior and potencial youll get more out of your mods with the Evo unless you like doing 70-150ish races where the AWD drags you.

not as common> SRT is like the new mustang (aleast the places I have lived)
I could go on and on and on im sure but in every aspect the Evo is worht the extra cash is all I am saying wheather that is Bias or not it is my opinion I guess. Plus driving the Evo and getting the attention like its a ferrari or somthing vs the alternative. the SRTs I usually look at and just think cool its modded and should be quick but its no different to me than seeing a regular stock looking bodied DSM or something where as teh Evo people almost CRASH tehre cars just cause they are stairing

 

i find humor in a crowd of 4g63 owners talking trash about reliability...


the srt4 is no more or less reliable than ANY other performamce minded 4 cylinder car...the problem is that they are so cheap, that people who dont know how to handle/mod them properly buy them and dont take care of them, and those are the morons who we hear about having problems. The few srt4 owners that I am friends with had problems, but they were minor at worst...

I agree with that totally. My car has had its share of small issues from running bad and blowing HUGE clouds of smoke to stalling out on high revs ect ect all minor easy fixes that cost me like nothing to take care of. The SRTs are built well internally but its not the motor that is the problem with them IMO lol IT LOOKS LIKE AN SXT with a body kit, hood , and wing












oh did I forget to say its FWD to lol

 

none of my friends have had problems ecept for boost cut, fuel cut, intercooler maxing out, clutches becoming over worked etc etc. you guys don't understand, i REALLY want an EVO IX. but i don't want to wait a year to be able to afford one. come September, if i can find one for 20k i WILLLLLLLLLL buy it. i will give yall my word as a man!!! you can save this, sig it, whatever but if i can find a good evo (not black, silver, or charcoal grey) i will buy it. and also as long as i have the full 6k to drop on it (which i don't see why i wouldn't.

 

i'm with yall 150%.... SRT-4 = 14k EVO IX = 24k .... can afford can't afford.

 

Is noone seeing the big picture. Its the lesser of 2 evils... and Ron cant (for whatever reason) get an Evo... Im with the SRT4... I mean, its not the hottest in the world... but at least its loosely related to the Mitsu family!
