o yea i have a question, i went about 55 past a cop in a 30 and he didnt do anything.... can all cops pull you over for speeding or are some not "high rank" enough to use the radar gun or something?

all patrol cops can pull you over, unless its like a mall security cop or something, then they could only pull you over at the mall for example (to the best of my knowledge). sometimes you get lucky and get a cop who just doesnt give a flying rats a$$ tho. i did 85 in a 65 past a cop a little while ago on the highway and he didnt even move. also, (at least around here) the cops usually pull more people over at the end of the month than at the beginning

For all the roads in CA there have to be surveys done by the county engineers that prove the speed is appropriate for that portion of the road as to not cause a speed trap. If those surveys are 4 or 5 years old you can fight the ticket. Also remember if a cop is sitting in a corner where the speed limit is 35 but you are closked on open road where the limit is 55, you can fight and win, it's your location, not his. There are a lot of legitimate ways out of a speeding ticket, it just takes a little homework on your part. If you go to court to fight, go prepared and don't try to argue your word against the officers-you will lose.

Haha, if I had to do it all over agian, I'd do it happily. Yeah I got a big *** fine, and if I ever get another ticket within like 5 years they'll probably nail me to the ****ing wall...

...But seriously, how many people do you know who can say that they raced a cop and won? Lol.
