I have a 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. My Catalytic Converter was recently stolen. I was told to reach out to Mitsubishi to see it there was anything they could so to assist with the wait time of the part being replaced. Upon contacting them, I was instructed the get the dealer information, the part number and order date so a case could be opened. Once the case was open a Mitsubishi representative contacted me to tell me nothing would be done. What was the point of opening the case if nothing would be done about this issue. They don't provide rental assistance after the 30 days allotted, they will not increase production for this part, even though they are aware of the rise in thefts. They have not added a recall to atleast install a device to track the part of make it harder to remove. And the parts that are ordered are on a first come first serve bases. So the wait is 4 to 6 months on a car I can not use and will not receive any assistance with. Is anyone else having this issue and what did you do to fix the situation? I'm ready to return the car.
