Teenager or adult?
ORIGINAL: OldSchool
Before I was 40 I had a '70 Red Camaro with a decent motor, AFR heads, 4.56 possi and a Super t-10 with McCloud clutch my Dad was telling me you really aren't an adult until you turn 40. When I turned 40 he asked me if I still had my red Camaro and when I told him I did he said, "It takes some people a little longer." A little over geared in 1st, with the rear it was about 13:1, traction was an issue. Sold the car to work on the '72.

43 and I've got kids older than some of you. Do I win the Old Man Prize? Heck, I've been married 24 years come this November.

TRAITOR!!!! TRAITOR I SAY!!! How DARE you post a CHEVY in HERE?!?!
hey, i got nothing against the old school chevy's, the only thing that erks me is the newer models, such as the cobolt, achh i hate that car. i got nothin against him posting such a beautiful car in here. and id trade my RS for it anyday lol
Gotta love the Camaro's. I absolutely HATE when people spell it wrong. Why do people spell it Camero...silly bastards....lol.
I had a 79 with the same cowl induction hood on it...lol. The motor, now you probably had a few ponies on me even though I replaced it with a 1970 350 and did some work to it. Any more details on the 72 you're building?

Yes, I have more details on the '72 and part of the build has been in an obscure Chevy magazine but to make it short, the floor has been taken out, I built a back half with Morrison Ladder bars, cut an 1-1/2" from the front A arms on each side, lowered the front 4" with the spindles and body drop, 15x15 Weld rims with 29x18.5 tires in the back, Moser center section 3.90 gears, 35 spline Moser axles drilled for Chevy or Ford wheels, Morrison 9" rear with back brace and narrowed , full cage that is built to fit close to the top and back window and front down bars, modified with tubular circle track top A arms to pull the spindles back 4 degrees and the floor has been installed (except for some finish welding), aluminum gas tank (not currently in because I need to finish the floor in the trunk and the tank fits through the middle of the floor), and a big block core and th400 sitting there with headers and Canfield 310cc heads to make everthing fit. Have not worked on it in about 6 months, no time. I've posted pictures of it before but I do appreciate the interest. Most everthing has been hand made by me but I owe a lot of the expertise to my friend Bob and his Dad whom without them I would have never gone this far into fabricating. Oh, ok, two pictures: seeing what a tunnel ram would look like; floors and new tunnel installed. My appologies to hyjacking the thread.
