the heavier the clutch the hard it is to drive it. For a good example keiths RX7 is only a mild clutch and he HATES it. he cant stand driving it. I personally get annoyed with mine quite often when trying to cruise and be comfy but its just not possible. I used to think like you sebba seriously against anything AUTO thought it was LAME. but after driving the beefy clutch in the Evo and the RX7 I can see it to be even worse if I were to have say 600HP or higher

 

I guess that something i would know nothing about yet.

Usually when people firs begin building cars, and tunning. their first choice is manual. They oppose everything that is not automatic, and redicule anyone who gets it. Then as you build horsepower, and see how annoying it can be at time when all you want to do is cruise...lol. they come to the dark side. I hate the vettes 6 spd with a passion. If it wasn't becuase i dont want to go the electrical issues of swapping an automatic tranny into the z06, i would have done it along time ago.

An automatic supra would be awesome mike. i reccomend it!

hahahha you and I will prob be the few who understand it then. I really dont see and auto being all that bad. And if it comes down to it chevy becomes a big upgrade TH400 tranny for high HP suprasand 10000x better in the straights than a manual

i see where your coming from mike, but i gotta go with sebba here, theres just something about driving a manual that i cant get away from. i know you have a heavy clutch in your car, but i dont think i would be able to enjoy an automatic as much. ive driiven my friends talon who's got a 2600 lb clutch in it, and it is pretty hard to press down, but i still love cruising around town in that thing. i'd just rather have the control of a manual over an auto any day

 

when your talking high HP youll understand. I am only at like 400HP and my car is a pain in the *** to just cruise in. and with the street potencail of a Supra your looking at cruising with 600HP or more. I mean Id have more power on bolt ons than my Evo has with all its mods. an auto would be very comfy to just drive. and if you want to go your gonna still go really fast. (actually faster)
