thoughts on is350?

Default thoughts on is350?

i have a race tonight against the new is350 (auto, paddle shifter) stock, i have the 96 gsx, KnN cone filter, MBC at 17psi, ported 14b turbo,o2 housings, and the exhaust manifold ALL ported, and 2.5 back. im not sure if im going to do well or not, i WILL however going to go and get 100 octane or atleast mid 90'sbefore i do though, so what does everyone think?

you will beat it hands down...those cars are heavier then my boss and mcdonalds...they are nice and all but not the quick.

this isnt gonna be a hands down win. I looked it up a bit on these cars and people are running mid to high 13's with them on all stock motor. So with the mods you have your only looking at around the same times. This is gonna come down to the driver.

If you are going to the trouble of changing octane, are you changing the timing to reap more benefits? More octane does not alway compute to more power unless you change the timing to take advantage of it.

very true. unless you have a way to tune the car or change timing your not gonna see any noticable gain.

well one thing you get with a cooler octane tuned or not is a cooler burn and less knock so he could run a few more PSI if his fue system would allow it then he would def see something from the fuel

i just wanted to see if its totaled, no frame damage at all, engine runs and tranny too, its just the axles, rack and pinion, rotors, rims................and how much to fix it?
