if i got a better car i wouldn't put a 40$ turbo in it. plus im not gettin another car anytime soon and i like a quick car

 

So why put a "$40" turbo in a perfectly good d/d especially when it's your uhhhhh, reliable d/d?

 

to make it a pretty quick DD, point is i know this can be done, ill run low boost so it still is pretty reliable...just want to make this a lil quicker,not so fast that id want to be racing evos

sorry man, but i think it's a dumb idea... a dd is a dd... if ur getting another car then make that one ur "race car"...

 

not gettin another car, especially soon. the way gas prices are, and insureance and that ****, id rather have one nice DD that im proud to drive than one car to always drive and one just for ****s and giggles

Man you are not making any sense. First off, new flash!!!. putting a turbo on an NA car will not remain reliable. And guess what, you are now using more fuel, making it worse on gas.

And your dumping money into a heavy 4-door sedan with FWD. This all together makes no sense. This is the same as someone putting a turbo on a 420a to run 8psi. Its just stupid. Your gonna waste all this money on it to barely get much from it, and then totally ruin a good car in the process. I guarentee you regret this

JP this is the worst Idea you have ever had. I mean you do realize even at low boost reliability goes out the window. as does driveability and DEF MPG.

For example the Evo awd great traction but the second it rained the car would not get traction at all under boost. what do you think FWD will do in a car not made to have power at all? you realise all the BS you have to buy in order to turbo the car right? for te cost you could find a 1G GST and work on that with light mods

 

JP buddy, I'm not knocking ur idea.. I just think maybe you should put it on a back burner and think it through some more first.. gas will be over $5 by July they're saying.. and turbos= gas suckers. I understand wanting your car to be quicker, but you could sell that car and buy 1 that is made for turbo really. If that's not an option I duno. Again not judging!! I've been there!! Just throwing it out there.

 

I agree.&nbsp\\; The internals are not hardened and probably won't be able to take the boost.&nbsp\\; You may get more power but for how long?&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;If you're going to do it, do it right.&nbsp\\; Rebuild the engine with forged internals meant to take the pressure of the turbo.
