Track time with the Luv
My buddy has been fighting the Luv to get it back into the 9.6's and has been consistant 9.87 and there about. Got his license to drive under 10 seconds and now has started tuning in the right direction. Got the red light by 1/100th of a second on the second run so he ran all out to see if he was tuning in the right direction and got a 8.72 with a 1.41 60' time at 137mph. Heading the right direction again, finally. Here is a picture of the only time trial we got in 2-1/2 hours, heating the tires. The place was packed. I had video finally of a run but now my recorder has decided to now not work correctly, so that is still on hold.

I will get pictures when I can but I've finally been working on the '79Z Camaro that I'm going to sell. The interior is nearly done except for the doors. Looks near completely stock, even down to the radio. The worst part is I'm missing some seatbelt parts that need to be replaced and are not available remanufactured.

Ok, before....specifically look at the steering wheel, which was red under the grime.

After...

Before body work and fresh paint...

After paint but before new stripes...

And for those interested, I haven't really worked on the Prostreet in a couple years much but I did paint most of the frame and trimmed things up and got the cage certified to an 8.5 second quarter, if only I could afford the motor, the rearend should be able to handle about 1000hp, but the ladder bars are only really good for up to 800hp, and realistically I'll probably only be able to afford 700hp when the time comes.

Thanks Steph. The white car is a Daddy/Daughter project gone bad, it was messing with her social time after only 20hrs of work into it, that is just getting started. She will never drive it and I'm selling it as soon as I'm done. But don't think I'm too hard on her, she has the '97 GST that she is getting at a bargain. It's nice to see a girl interested in cars. I have four daughters and not one of them really cares about them except they want to look cool and have their gas paid for.
Truck went 9.5's with the mufflers uncorked last weekend. Put the mufflers back on and ran consistant 9.7's and went under the dial-in by a couple hundreths before the money round. I was gone on a family outing and didn't get to see it. That's fast for a street legal truck.
