Okay, so I was wondering what everyone had before they got their Mitsu's.....I had only owned GM products until I got the Eclipse....Here are some pictures of what I had before...

A 1979 Chevrolet Camaro with custom rally stripes and a 1997 Pontiac Trans Am, fully loaded w/ t-tops and the little radio controls on the steering wheel (The Trans Am is for sale btw...rebuilt 5.7L V8...) I traded my Camaro (Which I had owned since I was 15...I am now 20) for my 1990 Eclipse GSX. I must say, I will probably own another Chevy one day...but for now I am content with my 27 mpg, AWD, and taking corners easily at 80 mph

i owned a 1996 triumpth TR-6 and a 1978 Datsun 280z....yea

Yall must be from Richville, cause I owned only 1 car before my Mitsu and I couldn't afford it until I was 19, 1994 Dodge Shadow w/64K miles. I'm 26 now and have only had my Eclipse for a couple months now. Does everyone here live on their own or am I part of a select few?

 

i live with my parents... 1st car was moms old car, a 91 lumina with 230,000 miles on it.. ran for 3 years (age 16-19) no problem. Then I just bought my 97 Eclipse (90k miles) on my own (19, still at parents).

 

I had a 96 Miata, and that **** handled like nothing else... In fact my dad would always fly around corners when he drove my car for six months b/c i lost my license... haha good times

 

I live on my own so yeah...I just worked my *** off during high school...missed a lot of stuff but it was all worth it.

 

That is one sexy lt1... I wanted one sooo bad but mom and dad wouldent let me. I guess It was for the better though.

 

Yeah....sad story about that one. I had gone to a dealership to look at it and took it for a test drive, you know went through everything and all that stuff. I had been driving it for about a month and all of a sudden, the car locked up and went in to "safety mode" and I had no idea what was going on. I was about fifteen miles from home and had just gotten out of class for the day and I was rather worried. I took it to my local mechanic and he looked at me shaking his head. He says, "It's ****ed." I was completely speechless. The person that had it before I did had run it completely out of oil...starved it to death pretty much. The came had so much play it was ridiculous. So, I had it towed to my parents house and my ste-dad and I yanked the motor and dissassembled it. I really wish I had taken pictures because all the cam bearings were gone...GONE! There were huge gouges in the journals. My step-dad was gracious enough to let me sign the car over to him being that I am in school and on my own and stuff so I don't have to worry about the $200/month car payment. Only thing is, I get to suffer because he said that he might keep it. He just got the motor back after a rebuild and has it put in. It still needs to be tuned but that is happening this coming Friday. I am not sure how much he is selling it for, but it has zero miles on the rebuild so far (He's going to break it in at least) and like I said, fully loaded, (leather, t-tops, etc.) If anyone wants it, let me know and I will pass it on. I think he's going to want about $8500 or so. Oh, and I know personally that bonestock it runs a 14.25 @ 94.5 mphs (It's an auto people and it had that problem so now I bet it hauls some serious ***) Oh...and here are some more pictures.

like my sig says, ive owned a 90GS and now a 93GSX
