Ok so I have still been looking at getting another car (other than my honda prelude) I was thinking about taking out a loan and getting something a little more spendy (I should be able to get 12k for the lude). I am looking at maybe getting a mazdaspeed 6, sti or EVO. What do you guys think? I would say that the STi is my fav but I know it is going to have to be older/ more miles than the speed 6. I don't know, does anyone know about the speed 6?

 

sti's are definitely fun.. i prefer them for one reason over the evo.. the sound

 

speed6 is alot like a Mercedes it not ment to be a fast sporty car. it full of luxory and weights 4000LBS. The STi is hard to mod and less reliable internally. the Evo handles better is easier to mod and the motor is good for over 500WHP. plus the Evo sesponds alot better to mods.

Test drive them all. youll like the Evo more than the STi I bet after a simple drive

Price is good. I sold my 03 for $25k with similar miles (and alot of mods I guess). The decal crap scares me a bit. Id test drive it and pay extra attention to how it shifts and if the drivetrain howls alot. 1st and 2nd will whine but that is about it

 

Also the wing doesnt have any carbon fiber or it is painted red and what up with the T style shift ****? cars like that always have me wondering

 

yeah, unfortunately the car is a few hundred miles away from me so I have only been able to get information by word of mouth. They say there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I am going to see how much of a loan I can get cleared for and then we will see.

 

like mike said, if you're looking to mod the **** out of it get the evo. If you're looking for just ****s and giggles with some nasty noise get the sti. If you want to hate your life get the ms6
