Default What do you think about this body shop work....

I had a new lip kit sprayed at a local body shop this week, it didn't turn out so good. The colors don't really match. THe car is factory paint and is not even that old (on my prelude) The guy said that they could match it. He said "we just pull the paint code off the car and mix it up!" and it turned out like this:

It is even more noticeable in the day time, it seems like to me that it was a pretty poor job. What do you guys think? Am i being ridiculous?

The lude looks off-white, but the lip looks white.
That does not match. Take it back and have them repaint that crap. If the guy pulled the paint code, then the panels would match up. Tell him that you could have canned (rattle can that is) that to match better.

ok if he painted them off the car there is no way to match it perfectly, its probably the same color code just not mixed properly thats why it costs so much to get it painted the right way,

Yeah, but then the guy shouldn't have told him that they can match it.

$250 for just the front and back

He painted them off the car but I left the car with him all day for that purpose.

I see the color difference, Looks like the car is "type R" white (used to have an Integra Type R" and the lip does look more like just plain white. There is a chance of Fading to happen from sun and rain and ............ I would just bitch about it and get them to fix it. There are ways of matching paint to a faded car..
