Where to buy paint?
Thanks anyway sebba. And also, anybody who is talking bad about the mods and admins really should stop. Just think of how many times somebody like Emonz has jumped in there and helpped us out when others couldnt. Maybe what NESpeed said was a little harsh but he was just speaking his mind. Anyway back to what this thread was started for...... I think i want TrueBlue from house of kolor
well so you understand, NESpeed was saying Dupont paint is hardly differant from the others and it is cheaper. Incase you guys dont know NESpeed has painted a few cars himslef, not his dad getting paint jobs done. That is why he is argueing here because you dont need to spend an arm and a leg on paint when you know what your doing and do the job right. and if you want examples then go to his gallery on here and look at his GSX 1G, his RX7 rims, and calipers they are all done with body paints and clear
It doesn't matter if he's right about something or not. He's a moderator of this forum (and a cop). He should maintain control when speaking to someone. Not blow up like a 12 year old who's mom just wouldn't buy him a playboy.

As for the annoying comment, I'm not trying to keep this going, so I'm done.
Smiles all around people, on me.
OK.. I'm not a wrench but I have painted since about 12 and I was a Dupont paint rep and ave been a bodyshop manager for the last 12 years. Any paint (major brands) is good but the question should be "which paint is easiest to apply?" Of the top 3 Dupont, PPG or BASF would best fit this question but you will find the expense to amaze you! Go to a local shop and get them to give you some leftover or mismatched paint and try to apply on a old fender or just a piece of metal before you go to that expense. Get a data sheet on the paint (available at paint stores) which will show you correct air pressure and procedures. Get good before you atempt to paint that vehicle! If the old addage "anybody can paint" were true painters wouldn't be making 70-80K per year!
