why you hate your car?
I have a kid who wants to buy my car, we already agreed on a price, but there is some things that he wanted me to do to it before I sold it to him. I havent been able to do any work becuase I got a crap load of home work at the end of the semister and have been super busy. I am not going to go into depth about the whole thing, but I replaced alot of the interior parts and move the battery back under the hood. I then took it for a ride around the block and feel back in love with the car. I started to think of ways for me to keep it and all. Then 9 hours later I am under the car with a mig welder cursing... and I though to my self "ah this is why I hate this car". Alright everyone share you ****ty love hate storys!
Alright so, I was changing the oil on my car for the first time the other day (I've had it for about a month and wanted to switch to synthetic). Anyways, I went to take off the oil filter and the drain the oil and I realized that my oil pan that I was going to let it pour in to was too small. The oil filter was a bit further away from the drain plug and I was instantly pissed. Don't ask me why, but I started cursing and all that but anyways, I took the filter off first, just for ****s and giggles and the oil dripped on the frame and I HATE dirty stuff so again, I started to get pissed. Then, I proceeded to take the drain plug off the oil pan and it seemed if freaking Hercules had used an impact wrench or something on it because I could get it off. Finally, I broke down, grabbed a cresent wrench and freaking torqued on that mother for a good while until I finally got it off. But in the end, when I was under the car, I was pissed but when I am in the driver's seat hearing that turbo spool up I am happy as a clam.
Slow, you should have just told the guy that the car is being sold "as-is" with all defects...write it down and make him sign it in agreement or else tell him that you could sell it to someone else that will take it like that...that way you don't have to do **** to it.
I absolutely love my '99 GS-T...It' been such a great car and it's such a fun car to "tune" and customize...I had a '97 Eclipse Spyder GS convertible before this one..I bought it when it was only about a year old..It had the 2.4 liter motor..It was a really fun car to own and the girls loved it..The thing I didn't like about it was that it was hard to find "add-ons" for the 2.4 liter and every place I called said I would have to go "custom" which meant even more money at the time...I owned the car for 3 years and the convertible top started to become a pain in the ***...It would leak a little on the driver's side where it met the top of the windshield, it bent a couple of brackets, and I replaced all the elastic in it which took me 2 days to do...so I finally had it with that car..I was close to paying it off and I decided that I really wanted the last year of the 2nd generation...8 months later I found my '99 GS-T near Washington D.C....I'll never own another convertible again! I've owned the '99 for 3 years now and am doing a whole alotta customizing to it..I am dropping about 10 grand into this summer and entering it into a couple of shows and stereo competitions for the first time...I can't wait...woohoo!
What else is a decent single guy with a good job and nice car supposed to do? LOL

yeah the guy who i bought my gsx from made me sing some paper saying their sold as is, but when you buy a used car from a private dealer, their usually sold as is. but i pondered to myself and about a month later, i knew that i had bought a lemon, and now im working everylast one of those kinks out.
If Hurcules used an impact wrench it would only be as tight as the wrench could get it, doesn't matter who is using it...and another thing, he wouldn't need a wrench cause he's so tough lol
And I just hate my car because it begs me everyday to make it better and dump all of my money into it, but I can't so it pisses me off. Anyone else in here enjoy the act of working on your car more than the actual end result? I know I do!

I love working on my car, but it never makes much difference. I bought a frickin family vehicle and that's exactly what I got. It's slow and heavy. It's AWD so it's slower and heavier than the FWD Outlander which is already godawfully slow. It's comfy, not too big or small and not a lot of them in my area. It seems the only way to make my car not scared of it's shadow is to dump $4000 into a turbo[&o] But, after a fresh coat of wax and the ideas going through my head of more mods I like my car again.
