Would i have a chance?
Maybe hes got a TSi, or TSi AWD... unless he stated otherwise... my friend has got an ElDorado... its a 97... that thing is a heap of ****... unless hes got a rolling start that things a hog off the line...
Keep in mind, yes, it had 270hp... brand new, and in top condition. Its a 1994 V8 (Northstar) those cars are NOT known for thier longevity... hence the fact they can be found for like a 10th of thier original cost.
Provided its at a track ((ahem)), I think it would be a race that wouldnt be the worst case scenario... as Ive seen many cars defeat Caddys. Theyre heavy and handle like shopping carts at high speeds.

Hey I had a rental Buick Lucerne with the Northstar motor with 10k miles on it. The motor sounded a bit ragged out but it had some get up and go...a bit too refined for me, but quick nonetheless.
heavyier cars have slower accel my freind (sold his taurus with a V6) got a 4 cylinder nissan altima very small car...its acceleration was quick and the taurus....not so quick both however smaller than my engine (taurus 3.0 vulcan and 2.4? nissan) still out accelerated my 3.5 montero...now...if i put that engine in another taurus or nissan...it would be quicker
