Hi, Can anyone tell me why my 1997 Carisma 1834cc, (petrol) as just developed a clutch problem, going out there was no problem at all, but on coming back to drive home I could not get any gears, no pressure on clutch peddle.

Check the reservoir

 

Hi Sebba,

I have checked the reservoir it looks okay, and I can't see any leaks any where, I did notice a burning smell when I drove it home.

The only way I can drive is to start in gear.

I had another look and found a leak on the Slave Cylinder, took it in for replacement, cost £75,

So I am know sorted,
