Default Grandis Headlight removal

Looking for some one to help out a brother big time. This may sound stupid, but does anyone know how to change headlight bulbs on a grandis? The area to get into behind the unit is too small for my hands to get into, and surely there has to be an easier way rather than to take the whole flippin front end off the car. Googled the hell out to find any clues with no luck.

Some one enlighten me???

I have the same issue, asked a former mitsubishi mechanics about it. He said that they removed the plastic lining inside the wheel arc and accessed it from there.. will try it tomorrow.

Hey buddy, did you manage to try it for yourself? Just find it such a shocking way that they have designed it for what should be a simple 2 minute job.

Default I did it

Well, now I have changed the bulb in every way possible.. Since I needed a new retaining clip, I needed better access than usual. First I did it trough the wheel arc. Access was good, but of course a bit of work to get access. I mounted new clip, not mitsu original didn’t find such a thing, so got something universal from ebay. Mounted everything and backed happily out of my garage. Noticed that the light was a bit strange, checked it and saw that the bulb was not in place. Didn’t want to remove the wheel and everything again, so removed the battery and tried to bend the clip a bit to get it working, now through the hood. Fiddled back and fort got the out the clip bended it a bit mounted it, and tried to install the bulb again. Since i did not see what i was doing, i couldn’t get the clip and bulb right. So ended up removing inner lining, and front bumper to remove the whole head lamp.. fixed it and installed everything..
So you can do it trough the hood, then you must remove either the battery or coolant container (or whatever is behind the lamp. Its a bit fiddly, I found it easiest to look into the headlamp in the front, while working with my hands on the back side. If you find this too difficult, removing plastic lining makes the job easier. If you also want to change the park light, its almost necessary to do it trough the wheel arc. A tip is to change both bulbs when youre at it.
