Starion/Conquest 4G63 Swap?
Hello Yall
I am new here. I have been looking around at DSMs but the 1986-1989 Starion/Conquests have really caught my eye.
Anyone here done a 4G63 swap into either car?
I am thinking Pro-Street so I am thinking motor plate in the front, but no one I know of has used an A-904 Torqueflight/8 3/4 Chrysler rear combo.
There is a fella who is on Buschur's site that swaped a 4G63 into an '81 Challenger. He used a GM Th350 trans with a Ford 8.8 rear.

Since I am thinking Pro-Street I would like to Back-Half the car( Ladder Bar rear suspension)to allow for a narrowed 8 3/4 inch Chrysler rear( gear ratio 3.73-3.91)with Mosher Axles and 28-12.5-15 Mickey Thompson ET Streets as the rear tires.
I would like to use an A-904 Torqueflight(no OD)/ or A-500Tranny( has .69 4th gear OD)with the A-999 1st gear(2.77).
I want to use a 4G63 from an Eagle Talon or Plymouth Laser.
The plan is have the Head ported either SBR stage 4-5 or Buschur Racing stage 3.
I want to use Magnus Race Intake Manifold, (4) 1200-1600 injectors, 85.5-86MMforged 9.25-9.3:1 CR pistons,a forged 100MM crank, forged stroker rods, a HX40 or HX 52 Turbo, E-85 Fuel, and either a DSM Link( for stock ECU)or Haltech standalone computor, (2)50-65 HP Nitrous Foggers( used to spool up the Turbo only), Buschur Racing FMIC.
Output desired is 435-520 HP w/out N2O and 565-650HP with.
I want to be able to cruise/show/and race this car.

The swap I did in my 81 Challenger is the same as a Starion/Conquest. The frame layout of the two cars is identical. Thats the whole reason I did the swap. A friend of mine had just done it in a starion and I thought a Challenger/Sapporo would be fun. If you have any specific questions about the swap feel free to ask. Good Luck.
The Starion/Conquest 5 spf trans will bold to a 4G63 with some modificaiton. Different bell housing with an additional hole drilled. I'll look up the part number when I get a sec and post it. My car was 5spd when i first built I couldnt find a clutch strong enough to hold the 500-600 hp I wanted to run. so i went auto. Buschur racing's adapter plate and a GM Turbo350.
