Default Random no Start

I spoke with a certified Mitsubishi mechanic and he is certain that it is a faulty crank sensor. He said they are known for being troublesome.,especially aftermarket. Everything starts or stops with the crank sensor. I'll the sensor doesn't sense crank rotation it will not send power to the fuel pump, or spark to the plugs. I found a Mitsubishi factory sensor for about 60.00 and my local mechanic estimated about 350.00 labor.

If anyone can confirm or has a different ideas I'd love to hear it.

Ok thank you I thought about the crank sensor, but I am getting spark just no power to the fuel pump, so could this still be a crank sensor???

Ive changed the pcm, fuel pump, fuel pump relay, camshaft sensor, and still no power to the fuel pump, I have no codes, I do have spark, absolutely no fuel is pumping, so I need clarification, could the crank sensor still be bad under these conditions???, there is a relay under the hood with a engine symbol on it, could this be the auto shut down relay im so stumped on this piecd of crap, Im ready to have a bond fire!

Default Alarm immobilization?

Did you ever find cause?

I have a 2003 Montero Limited did similar thing, but only without starting. It never died in motion.

I'm not sure but think it was an alarm quirk. Disconnect battery for 24 hours (both leads). Connect again and then lock the doors with switch or keychain, and then unlock with the door key and keychain.

I'm not sure but that's what I think worked for my issue.
