So I take my fiancee montero sport to the dealer ship to get this software update that the montero comp needs that supposed to help with the o2 sensor bank 2 sensor 1 issue of no activity dropped off car service tech says ok I'll call you back if we locate software update for the vehicle and we find out problem with car I told I know why the engine light is on I know what the codes mean I just need a software update that relates to these code issues. Ok he says we will see what we can do. They said they would call me in an hour or two. So they don't I call them and get this. Ah there is no factory update for the car and said ok cool I'll come get car right now. He says no you can't . Why I dId well your car won't start the comp has locked up and froze. And he has no clue what happen. He says your comp had a virus (I don't think so car ran fine when I drove it there) or there's had a virus and gave it to my montero. Bottom line they said my comp is dead and now there talking 2000 dollars for a new one. All I wanted was a software update so I could pass smog. Car ran fine . So now what I say is this possible. My fiancee is in tears
