you got more time than you think. You just want to buy a car for the wrong reasons man and I would say that is just your age because I used to think the same exact thing.... I read threw that thread you posted to and something about that guy seemed very very shady too. The car looks nice the engine bay was a mess (lots of mods but looked like a mess) and he seemed hessitant to give usefull info on the car.

Its just a way better feeling to take pride knowing you built what you own not someone else.

Do you know how many people ask if I did the work on my EVO? I love saying yes about it, I love saying it was stock when I took it home and I have paid nobody for any of the mods to be put on. Its a good feeling. Id feel like an idiot saying nah man I bought the car this way. I think my problem with that is the fact that EVERONE who buys a car premodded just has no clue what is what. and alot of people(not sayin you cause I know you will) dont even bother to research anything they are getting into.

 

I totally agree... but its not cost effective.

 

I think it is more cost effective. You have no idea how $$$$$ NESpeed has spent just fixing and replacing all the hacked stuff in the rx7 and he still isnt even close to being done and he has owned the car for 3 years now.

 

Thats chance... and a chance il take. As for the engine bay not being as clean... lol... not every engine bay is as clean as ours LOL.

 

tell me about it hahahhaa... You are actually one other person who I have seen a nice clean looking engine bay. I see alot of dirty nasty ones online[:'(]

 

I know i dont understand why people dont make an attempt to preserve the awesomeness of it. The secret is spray grease or WD40... that stuff keeps the firt and crap off (its a solvant) and keeps it lookin gooooood.

If in fact i do end up picking this car up i will most likely do a little clean up on it. Tidy the wireing up a lil etc...
