it does include purchasing the ride which is paid for..no loan..how could it not include that?? I only have 51,800 miles on it too..stereo and electronics are not cheap I'll tell ya that much
...There are more mods than just that kinda stuff on it and I'll continue to work on it all summer like I did last summer so it's just gonna get better and better...What I do is buy most of the mods during the winter while I have my ride stored in my garage and can't do **** to it and then install everything when summer rolls around.....I have it to the point now to where it is showable and I have shown it a few times this past summer... Actually I'm kinda appauled at the comment on me spending the cash on "repairs"...I take extremely good care of it and it doesn't leave my sight...Absolutely no way, not once has the car been "repaired" body wise...It's a very "clean" car and has been very, very good to me. The only "repairs" I have made to it have been oil lines and coolant hoses and that's only because the car sits around in the garage hardly driven anywhere...It's just my toy.

I would say you are infor a rude awakening then. DSM's are expensive to maintain. I would say that about a third of my investment is in maintainence. I started doing the maintenance myself just because it is commonplace.
I would say that more DSMers become their own "mechanics" more than any other type of car due to maintenace.

To anyone that doesn't feel the DIY mechanic..well, it's either that or you let someone who cares for your car as much as a Ford Pinto and let them screw it up...err, I mean work on it.

I beg to differ. I became my own mechanic because A. I couldn't afford others to work on my cars and B. because I'm going to care for my car a WHOLE lot more than some greasemonkey asswipe.
In short that's what Batman was saying really. You've become a mechanic due to maintenance, whether it be because you couldn't afford to take it to someone to work on it or the greasemonkey thing, so we all agree that the DSM conspiracy is to make the owners a DIY mechanic, lol...btw, wouldn't that mean that we are now the greasemonkeys?
