Billet Resivior Brake Caps
This weeks marks the first week of production for the billet products offered by Tearstone Performance.
Made from billet 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum crafted for the brake cap of the 3G/4G Eclipse and 8G/9G Galant here now. Although now after looking at pictures around the internet on car domain, I was unaware that many other mitsubishi models use this exact same brake cap, so you could benefit as well. So far, I believe that it will work on the 1G/2G/3G/4G Eclipse, 6G/7G/8G/9G Galant, 2G Strat and 2G Sebring Coupes. For all I know these could work on the Montero's as well!
The problem I and other owners have been faced with over the years when going to shows is that spray paint simply does not do the trick when dressing up the plastic in your engine bay. Regardless of scuffing, the paint still peels and looks nasty (pictured below). I have painted mine 3 times and the result is still ugly. Thus, the billet dress up items are born.
These caps fit very snug over top of your existing brake cap. It will be very difficult to retreive your stock one out once it is pressed into the billet one.
