LOL, but what u have to remember is that not everyone can buy the 22k Evo off the Bat. So they buy the CRX save up and hook it up. It's all depends on ur budget.

I know but your budget to get a CRX to be fast is not worth it. the car is NOT a tuners car but people make it that. only 3 hondas that are NSX, S2000, and RSX and even those are suspect to agrument. For the money of a CRX you could pick up a 1G dsm and with about $1000 extra be running in the 12s all day, to get a crx there we are talking a few $1000 to get there

and again to run 12s with it your spending how many more thausand Dollars. a DSM you can spend a total of like $2000 includeing buying the car and do it. No honda can do that. Bottom line is hondas are not tuner cars and not intended to be that. There are parts galore for them because like you said they are cheap and all the "kids" want to make a fast car and they are super light.

Honestly if you buy a honda with plans on making a fast car your crazy I wouldnt spend my money that way (my opinion) I would buy one as a nice ecomnical car fro a daily driver.

Dude what u have to remember is that the Honda Civic is the original Tuner car. Without the civic, tuning wouldn't be as big as it is today. Becuase the civic is so cheap to tune, tons of "kids" buy them and it's a great starter car because it's real easy to work on. So don't knock on Hondas cause without them the aftermarket wouldn't be that big for imports.

that is 100% not true...what you dont understand is in the 80s is when it all started wit the turbo supras 300zx DSMs came along 3000gts and all of those were tuner cars long before honda ever even had something to think about. the Civic is cheap and easy to get parts for now and only has been since mid 90s before that forget it you never saw a civic with any type of Hi end parts. even the CRXs never had that. main thing you need to look at is the Real Tuners in the honda world run motors that have only been around since late 90s.

The import world has not changed from the civic or hondas at all it changed when imports became turbo charged. the hodas became popular because of one reason the cost of the car and the fizzle out of turbo cars. in mid 90s an affortable turbo import was only the DSMs which were still not cheap. I remember the 97 GSX new was like $23k or something at teh time that was alot. when you can get a civic for half the price that runs the same 1\4 mile only problem is they are not as easy to bolt on parts to for huge gains. Granted the VTECHs take well to modds but not anywhere near what a turbo car does.

I am not knocking hondas I dont mind them I just dont think modding a CRX is a good idea nor is most hondas. They make great reliable daily drivers but they are not a real Tuner car. the are what I call a High School tuners car because it is affordable to mod but to make fast it is still gonna cost an arm and a leg

I knw you have a honda and I am in no way trying to offend you or anything Just spreading some light on how I see then is all

that's true, but the civic definatly help make the aftermarket alot bigger, before it was mostly custom parts but now it's lots of companies catering to the import scene
