Outlander loud noise from rear when changing gears
Hi Auto experts and enthusiasts! I have an issue which I’m concerned about with my car, it’s a 2015 Outlander, FWD only. The past couple of weeks I’ve noticed my car seems to make a strange sound when I’m changing gears from reverse to drive. For just a few seconds it makes what I can only describe as a groaning/grating sound, not like metal grinding but like something is stuck and rubbing sort of. The noise starts after I put it in drive, take my foot off the brake and start to accelerate, just for like 2 seconds. It was much louder the last couple of times and I was startled as it was quite loud this morning as I was leaving for work. The car was serviced only a few weeks ago and they changed the front brakes, they said the rear ones would be good until my next service. I’m obviously going to have to get it looked at, but I wondered if anyone else had experienced this of has any idea what it could be? Might the rear brakes be sticking on a bit? Are there any common issues like this that anyone knows about?
