RE: ridiculous bass
hey as long as you can look at it and say that you were young and stupid and learn enough from it to never do it again... it's just one of those things and i can appreciate that.
i agree that it's absolutely not worth it. and tha'ts why i didn't do it. i don't even smoke anymore.

Mine hits in the 152 db neighborhood with the gains on the sub amp only turned up a lil less than a quarter of the way up and that is plenty enough for me...That dude's bass is just ridiculous..You can't just cruise and listen to normal music in that system, just competitions and what is the sense of that. Wow.

when you get to a point... i don't care how much dynomat you have stuffed in ur vehicle... it's gonna rattle. honestly i don't see any point what so ever in having anything more powerful than like 1000w. i had 2 Rockford Fosgate Lightning Audio 12's with like a 60w rms and 120wpeak with a 100w x2 amp and it hit PLENTY hard for me. just enough to make things rattle JUST A TAD but not enough to sound bad.
i'm about quality, not quantity.

^^ weight reduction lol. actually when i had my eclipse. for the last 6 months i had it, it was COMPLETELY gutted on the inside, removed rear windshield wiper, removed the motor, water resivoir, interior, seats, carpet, spare tire, relocated battery to trunk, and anything else that i could do to make my car that much faster. obviously b/c it was 420a powered, it was still slow but it was the fastest n/a eclipse in Charleston... no bragging, i know that's like being the gold medalist in the special olympics.
