When he gets on it all you hear is the turbo sucking air, thats what I was talking abt. How is that the wastegate?

 

since when does a turbo "suck" in air

Oh well I guess I learned something new today, I guess I just missuderstud that part, idk lol. Well forgive my noobness.

wastegate is assentailly the extra boost made by the turbo that you dont want to go to the motor. So you dont here it untill the wastegate sees a higher boost level than the spring can hold. For example my 50trim sound like aregular stock soundingspool up noise for a split second when the turbo starts to spool then when it gets up to 14.7 PSI the wastegate opens and that is when you really hear the car sound like its opening up makes it seem like its spool up but really the turbo is already pushing like 15 PSI or so depnding on what PSI spring the gate has

Thanks I know, how does your car sound again? lol I am putting a hi flow cat on the car actually to kill some of the rasp and clear my CEL. the few lost ponies are not that important to me lol

Yea I still have it. Its not up for sale at the moment anymore. I am actually going to start working on it again. fix up some of my small issues and then get it ready for next year by maybe adding a meth kit and a dyno tune. 500HP club for my car soon lol
