All right joined a local tuner crew and we had our first meet last weekend. One of the members, Justin, has a 2003 Honda Civic Si with some nice hearders, full exhaust, and a couple other things I can't remember right now.

Anyway the meet is over and I'm on my way home, but Justin lives in the same general direction that I am in. We pull to the light, and he wants to race. Sure, why not? The light turns green and he launches. Haha, I don't even try to. He gets about a half car length on me from the launch but I punch it, take 1st up to 30, shift to second, and take off. We pull up to the next light, and says he wants to try it again, from a 30 MpH roll. We get to rolling, sound the horn thrice, and take off. I was at the low end of second so he got about a half car length on me again. That's ok, because we both agree he took off a little early. But anyway. He stays up to about a half car length from 30 to 45, then I began to catch up to him, and am about a car length ahead of him by 80. So first "official" crew races go to me.

Anyway, not a big win or anything, but it made me feel good. Thought I would share.
