With full bolt ons, you'd be lucky to get 170WHP out of that engine.
Even astock LT1 Camaro would rape that car sideways.
The guy obviously raced an automatic 3.4 V6 Camaro. They have 160HP, same as a 3000GT. The 3000GT was a 5 speed, hence the reason he won. Or maybe the Camaro wasn't even racing.
