lol ok my friends car was in the shop for tranny work so he borrowed his brothers 3g eclipse gs well he came over today wanting to race well i never knew how fast they were so i decided to go for it, i took my other friend in my car so i had 2 people and he had no one, we did a 20mph roll which i got him by at least two car lengths then we did a dig and i got him by about one and a half car lengths (when i slowed down) i was leaving him more and more but decided to slow downnow i want to race a GT with tha six cylinders anyone think i can take one??

What does your car on average run in the 1\4 mile?

The GS and RS 3G is between 16.2-17.0 on average
The GT 3G range from 14.8-15.5 depending on year and if it is a spyder or not

 

I agree. There is no way youll beat a v6 eclipse

Even though it is not much faster looking on paper it would amount to you losing by alot in real life. I had a GT 2002Eclipse and a 2000 GS Eclipse as well I know them both well

Don't think there's much chance of you beating a v6 3g. My friend Seth has a modded 3g GT and it's pretty quick, and depending on the race (dig or rolling start) and what sort of area we're racing through, he can usually give me a good run. Any place with turns I'll own him, he just can't stick with me through the corners, but straights where we're topping out the final gears he'll usually take me (curse you, top speed limiter, CURSE YOU!)

 

yea i was suprised i beat him too, and what made it better is it wasnt by just a little bit, lol how many liters is the GT clipse?

The 3G is 205 HP GT and 215 GTS they all run low 15s and the 2000 model runs high 14s
