Default 99' Cougar VS 01 Eclipse GT ????

Well i just got my car, a 2001 Eclipse GT, now im not real into street racing, but this kid in my school says he has $500 that his Mercury Cougar can kill my 2001 GT, both cars are bone stock except i have Kumo tires(big deal...lol) im not to sure who would win...but some input would be nice.

P.S. I have no clue what model the cougar is, if they even have different trims or w/e......and i have ordered performance parts for my car, they just havent come in yet, so if we do race it will be after i get my CAI and maybe exhaust and headers

If its the cougar with the 2.5ltr V6, you should have him.
Its the same 6cylinder thats in the Ford Contour.
3g GT is the 3.0 v6, correct?
I would say you can take him, but don't bet money, thats where tempers flare when he loses and don't pay up.
Just go for fun... on the track. Stay off the streets.
