<IMG src=smileys/smiley4.gif border="0">,yeah , these guys out here with honda are all into turbo charging a sohc vtec , now im not much of a honda person but alright i understand the concept of vtec (ferrari were one of the starters of this concept ,..so i've heard) well alright vtec has it's advantage in top end but a sohc reaches a limit way sooner and with a pretty big turbo that has a spooling range greater than the motor seems like a senseless thing to do. but hey they do what they wanna do , and whats even more halarious is that i saw the guy today at my freinds house when i went over. he was driving a civic coupe though not his like he put it in his words "fast whip" ( i was confused for a second i thought he was talking about ice cream but then i remembered that its slang for car.lolll , well he asked me to open the hood , i did he said oh thats why u beat me,dohc , he querstioned my turbo if it was stock i told him no that i had the evo 3 16 g ported and clipped and thats why i took off at top end like hell . he then told me wait to race him in a month , that he is going bigger on turbo.i asked him with what engine (i was actingstupid i knew he meant his sohc vtec) . i felt like telling him how it is a waste of money and how he really needs to logically think instead of throwing better and better , buit like my evil ways i kept to myself and cant wait to see him make an *** out of himself.<IMG src=smileys/smiley8.gif border="0"></P>

haha...I went turbo when I did the conversion. Rather than have my car not running two times I went ahead and did the whole thing at once. Its not perfect quite yet, but it runs.

 

What turbo are you using? I've got a small 16g ready for my conversion, but i'm thinking of trading it in for an ev016g. And which head? C'mon man, you went ahead and did the conversion without tellin us?

 

14b...got it for free...all I had to do was have it rebuilt. I'm using a 1st gen. turbo head with 2nd gen. cams. haha....sorry...nobody asked me what I had. I'm just bummed cuz I have the potential to be pretty quick but i can't do anything until its tuned. I promised a friend I would wait until he finishes up his Supra so we can go tune together and get a group discount. $150/hr. is kinda expensive...<IMG src=smileys/smiley5.gif border="0">
