Today I raced a Formula Firebird we were at a light he was being cocky kind of asking ?'s bout my car and I told him it all. The light turned green while I was talking and he took off on me so he had a head start I romped on it holding my highest boost ever on my car 23PSI and was walking by him like nothing at the top of second gear just after third I shut down because I was going to pull away so far and just really destroy im but I was going fast already and had enough . Just proved my point to him enough to ruin his day. 12sec 2.0L vs 14 sec 5.7L hahahaha he cut me off later down the road and kept reving at me over and over again.

V8 usually equals import ignorance. Before I joined the forum and started researching a bit I would have been like that guy...my V8 will stomp your little import. Now I know better. I still love the rumble of an old V8 though!

Ya he was cocky I was just being quiet and not really explaining myself to much to him. He asked what was done to the car all I said was I4 Turbocharged but he got what was coming, Just imagine if I had launched it WHOOOOOOOO that whould have been a sad race

 

I hate V8's, like you said, there all ignorant, like people who drive mustangs...has anyone noticed that people who drive srt-4's are gettin the egos of whom drive stangers?

 

oh yea i cant stand srt-4's they sound like ****. I will give them that stock and from a roll they can be pretty quick little cars. But for potential, looks, sound, and all around....they suck!!

and another point: if that formula really was a 14 second car, thats one very sick bird and/or stupid *** driver. im leaning to the later[8D]

 

I know they are not all cocky but he was for sure. and I have seen these cars in action run 14s maybe high 13s with nothing apperant. My car is much faster than that so even if he was slightly modded it was no contest at all. HE looked like a fool in the End for being a jerk about his big bad car that got tooled on by a "boys" car.

Not saying I dont like the GMs because I do but at least know what you have and what you up against before being a clown about it
