DODGE CHARGER V.S. SPYDER GS
This right here is what made me sure that I want to keep my car and just mod it from the 4g64 engine with a 63 head and turbo it. ANYWAYS,
Not sure the year on the charger but it was newer it had rims and sounded like a mustang but it was stock. It was semi auto.
My car 1999 Spyder GS no mods stock everything.
I had my girl in the car and her cousin had a dodge charger and she always told me how he bragged about his car and blah blah blah. It sounded like a mustang but I wassen't intimidated. 1st run I got on the side of him and we started at about a low 2nd gear roll. I smoked him. So we were on our way to Starbucks and on the way there there's an empty street light to light about 1/4 mile. straight. I shifted perfect out of 1st and keep in mind his is semi auto so its an advantage because you don't loose shift time and you could rev it all the way up. I was in front of him when i was in 2nd i shifted he started to catch up I shifted into 3rd he was then half a car behined me and he was catching up a little bit and I punch my pedal all the way down and rolled ahead of him. DONE I HAVE A "SLOW" 4G64 AND BEAT A CAR THAT HAS ABOUT 200HP MORE HP ON ME. Commentary welcome and my girl recorded it on her cell phone but its probably going to look cheap and crappy but ill try to get it off her phone onto my laptop and youtube it.

I don't think this was the V8 model bro. I'm not trying to bust your bubble, but the V8 Charger R/T 5.7L 350chp is a ~14 sec car. I would imagine the V6 Charger SXT (or lower models) 3.5L version are slower. It has roughly 70chp more than your car bro and it's a pig.
I'm not doubting that you beat one, just not the V8 model.
**forgot about the 2.7L V6 with 190chp. That's the base model**
Nonetheless, good win.

It had 350 hp he was bragging because he dynod it. It wassen't a daytona or nothing. V8 V6 still had the advantage im stock he had more hp but was heavier but the v6 and 8 can pull that. Still no reason he couldn't take me especially with a "slow" 4g64
Its evident that the driver of the Charger didnt know his car very well, then... --sorry to say-- that the Charger V8s will slap even some of the 4g63t powered big boys around... even stock, its just a powerful car. Though, off the line, given thier v6/8 'multi-displacement' nature, its easy to believe that these things are f ucking HOGS off the line.
ya if we raced 1/2 mile we would have been even. because he was rollin up slow even after punchin it. Remember 4g64's got more torque then 63's right? No excuse 2 lose cuz its semi auto can't miss a shift just a simple punch to the pedal.
well for the record i raced a charger r/t v8,and we were right there,so you had to beat the real crappy v6 model, with manual windows and cassete player, lol oh yeah and hubcaps
Here's the breakdown according to Dodge, which has a curb weight of just over 4000lbs.
base model w/ 2.7L v6 = 190hp/190tq (RWD w/ 5spd autostick)
SXT w/ 3.5L v6 = 250hp/250tq (RWD or AWD w/ 5spd autostick)
R/T w/ 5.7L Hemi = 340hp/390tq (RWD or AWD w/ 5spd autostick)
Daytona R/T w/ 5.7L Hemi = 350hp/390tq (RWD w/ 5spd autostick)
SRT8 & Super Bee w/ 6.1L Hemi = 425hp, 420tq (RWD w/ 5spd autostick)
So if the Charger didn't have the ***** to beat your stock 2g eclipse gs, I'm gonna have to say it was the 2.7L v6, cuz I think even the 3.5 would have made a race like that look like childs play.
