I beat my friends GSR that was dynoed at a 220 horsepower only with the help a a 50 horse shot of nitrous. Those cars are fast and now that he a a better built motor I am not going to try it again. I have a 97 rs with MSD coil pack, wires, cold air intake and flowmaster exhaust.

VERY suprised. GSR's can be quick with the right mods. I raced one with my GST and won by 2 car lengths but i was way more modded than him. Oh yea didnt you say you made a "10 flat" at the track! WHAT thats damn near impossible in a 420a.

after reading this I just had to post. I have my 95 Eclipse RS and my son and I were out dickin around one day and we were timing the 1/4. We did this SEVERAL times and I came out consistant with high 10's. Wish I knew why but I dont. I havent had the car long, but I do know when I bought this car the previous owner said it had 'alot done to it'. Wish I knew what. I do remember her saying it has a cat-back on it. Also we did the 0-60 and my son just reminded me we were around 5 seconds. I swear one day Ill make a video cause someone needs to see this. Also before she crashed it into a deer (like 3000 miles prior to me buying it) she had the engine rebuilt, said she had like $2500 in that.

My EVO makes much much much more power probably 2 or 3 times more HP to the ground and it only will run a 12.7ish with a 0-60 of low 3 secondes. Not even a heavily modded 420a is gonna run 10s unless it has a massive turbo pumping like 25 PSI

then I dont know what to say. All I know is we sectioned off 1/4 mile and stopwatched it. Did that several times. I even went back with my truck to make sure the 1/4 mile distance was right and it was. Is this possibly something Im doing wrong? I would really like to know.
