I was wondering what the worth of the 2003 - 2005 Spyders was in racing, I was gonna get one in about a month, but I heard there are very few good mods for them??? Is this true or not??? Also, are they good all around cars to race compared to a car like a Mustang??? Someone I know told me no matter how many mods you could make the spyder just isn't gonna add up compared to one, so I'm doing a bit more research and just one know about the availability of mods and overall racing ability of the Spyder.(I heard there are more mods for a GT than a GS or GTS)

 

the Gt and GTS are basically the exact same car, except the GTS has a few more stock ponies and a different intake plenum.

you have to understand that you cannot compare an eclipse to a mustang...they are two completely different classes of vehicle. i have seen an eclipse that would waste even modded mustangs, but like making any small engine car fast, its not cheap. the engine code of the 01+ eclipse V6 is 6g72, and i have seen that engine, supercharged, building over 400hp, without nitrous.

 

Right now i currently have a 2003 5sp spyder gs....and i traded in a 2000 mustang for it......All in all the eclipse is so much better at everything. Much better handling, much better speed, etc.....i would go for the eclipse if you have th echance of buying one
