one for the home team
Alot of the times, members on this forums post threads on how their imports beat muscle cars, and i personall think it's awesome. If anyone knows me on this forums, i'm first to congradulate, because i respect all imports, and love when they beat v8s.
That being said, my story doesn't exactly play out the same. My race was againsnt a big heavy hitter import down here, and his buddy. And i was in my z06. We raced on chrome, pass 595
Opponents = Erics 93 Eagle talon. I know he pushes a 37r, and i know the motor is built. the exact specifications, i'm not sure.
John 2003 mitsubishi evolution , 2.3L stroker, 37r, and a 50 shot of nitrous.
I raced both of them, twice, each back to back.
Agaisnt Erics talon, the first race i ran him all motor, and broke away from him out the dig by about 2 cars, the gap was streched 2.5, and then he reeled in at the very end to about 1 car length behing.
The second time, i sprayed the 150 shot out the whole, then hit the second stage of 250, and the gap was stretched about 7 cars.
Agaisnt John Evolution, the results were pretty similiar, except he kept up alot more in the all motor race. And when i sprayed, he was a bit closer you could say.
All in all, it was alot of fun, I have much respect for their cars. Their great machines built right. I hadn't raced on the street since 2003, so i was more of a come back for me, and it was alot of fun. I give alot of credit to those guys, and much respect.
Still, they were no match for the ls7! muahaha just kidding
till next time.

lol. no the z06 is absolutely anything but stock. I purchased the car, a bit wrecked, but no frame damage from an old man in Indiana. I strip the barefront, pulled out the engine, and began the project. the heads are ported by ti-teck racing. full blast, bored and stroke 483 ls7 small block. and a couple of other goodies. . I drive it daily, but it tends to get annoying.
I'm a dial in driver at morroso speedway, but so is eric in the talon, he's a phenominal driver.
I'm gonna try to create a you tube account even though I'm a complete moron when it comes to computers. I type with two fingers! I'm old school=(
