Here we go Ive always wanted to test this out.

My Car: 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder 4g64 NT 5-speed
Mods:Cat-Back Flowmaster

Friends Car: 3G V6 Eclipse GT (STOCK Turbo) SEMI AUTO
Mods:Wicked Flow Cat Back.

I say he kind of has an edge because he has the V6 and its Turbo, Although mine is lighter.

Saftey first I have this spot around my house a almost perfect 1/4mile. One 4 way stop in the middle I had my friend call my phone when there were no cross traffic. I got the call we were ready to RACE! From a stop...I had a perfect takeoff he stood half a car behined until the towards the end. I flashed my emergencies GOT HIM! GS WINS. Next we raced back from a stop he said he had it on automatic or something so he switched it. I got the call counted it with my horn he launched perfect but i stood half a car and caught up about half way and flashed my emergencies after i stood in front as it came to an end. Final Race From a 20MPH Roll. My boy called me said we were good so we went 20MPH and he counted it with the horn. I SMOKED HIM ON THE ROLL flashed the emergencies. He admitted to it. Rematch pending after I swap my head. I love my car can't wait till my turbo wow im glad I didn't sell it. Comments please.

 

your 3g with the stock turbo is incorrect. The 3g did not ever come with a turbo.....definitly not on the 3 liter. you raced an na 3.0 eclipse

x2.. The 3g's dont come with a turbo.. Nor are they very fast stock... Now it makes me wonder if it was the GT or GS..

 

Don't knock the 3rd Gen. until you understand what it has. And I haven't heard of a Semi Auto on a 3G...

 

it was a GS... no way in HELL a NA i4 SPYDER will beat a GT coupe. no way in hell TRUST me i have owned them all. one GS and two GT spyders one of which I still have. It was a GS or he is a newb at driving.

And by semi auto I thinnk he means sporty tranny

The dude has a v6 with a turbo. I know how to settle this ill do a video! And he said it was semi not sure what the hell that means but first run he said he had it on automatic then the 2nd he didnt. He has a fat pocket. Ill do a full cirlcle around both cars. he poped the hood n he has a turbo on it. looks small though. ill you tube it by this week.

 

Advocate... I don't want to say it but I will. The 3rd Gen. was not made for racing. It's not fast stock. faster than a V6 mustang, but not fast.

There's no way in hell your little 4g64 beat a turbo'd V6 no matter how small the turbo is. Put down the peace pipe, and turn on some lights.
