Default Took my RS to the track tonight.

Me and a friend of mine went to Belle Rose, LA tonight to No Problem raceway and had an all out fun time.
My Eclipse RS (really slow), and his 02 T/A WS6 (5.7 LS1 w/ LS7 heads, LS7clutch, and LS7 cam, 6spd manny).
First off, his WS6 ran an 11sec qtr mile on all motor. Damn.
497whp

My car was'nt as slow as I expected it to be.
0-60 in 8.2
Qtr mile 16.8
Dyno'd at a neck snapping 129whp!

Anyways, it was fun and I thought I would share.

That's not too bad really. Avengers/Sebrings go a bit slower, 17.1, lol....in both the 420a and the 6g73 (V6).
I bet if you removed your sub box, rear seats, passenger seat, spare tire, tools, etc, you'd be able to get it a bit lower
About 16.6 is stock 1/4 times in full trim, but that's a new motor and with a 1/4 mile driver.
I'm not trying to be a buzz killer, I'm trying to say that you did good for having an old motor, probably soft shocks, and probably a full tank of gas...not to mention a sub box

Actually silver, its proven that motors gain power with age and then about 100k start to drop off. Its like a curve.

Silver, you did'nt burst my bubble.
I simply had a good time and was quite honestly surprised the car did'nt spontaneously combust.

Sebba, my motors got 55k on it, so its in its prime. lol

a good time at the track is irreplaceable. wether the fact that your car isn't the fastest thing out there is irrelevant. as long as you had fun.
