should i set up the forum so that OT posts no longer count towards total post count?

that would be a tough bet. but agree that it should NOT count! if there is a way to count all OT posts (in the past) and delete them from our post count i think that would be a good idea as well.

 

I dont care about the past.. But I think it would help the BS posting in the future

If it works how I think it will, removing post count in OT SHOULD remove all posts that counted in the OT section previous or future.

I agree get rid of post counts. BUT also let it be known that BS posts in OTHER sections mere;y to increase post count WILL be punishable. Or else I'm sure Sebba and Tidus will run rampant elsewhere to get their post coutns up.

 

i think this should be done. Because people like tidus and jpmontero wont do poinless posts just to get the count up. Also i would do the same thing for the New Members section as well because alot of people ***** that area for posts by just posting in every thread saying "welcome" and "lets see pics" ect.

 

here are my thoughts on the whoring in the new member section.

you guys would be amazed at how often new members send us emails thanking "us" for welcoming them in their first post. if a member wants to jack up his post count by being hospitable, im just fine with that.

as for the post ****** in OT, this would help to run off members who have no technical capacity, and if they begin whoring for post count in other sections, they can be removed from the site.
