Default Advice on what to get...

I am sure this has been covered but since the search button is not working I am going to ask it again. Sorry if it has been covered a lot. So I am in the market to lower my car, I don't know what brands are good or set up ect. I will tell you what I want and you guys shoot away. I am looking for a set up that will be as close to stock comfort as possible, I am less concerned with the performance. I don't know if I should do strut/spring combo, or should I go with some basic coil overs? I was looking at tein's basic dampers but I am really clueless at this point....

A comfortable price to lower your car would be a Eibach/Tokico or Eibach/KYB combo. The ride is only slightly stiff compared to the stock setup. You don't have to get adjustable shocks, but it would benefit you to do so. Non-adjustables are made for stock height and will wear out faster than it should. One thing is for sure, don't buy just the springs and put them on your current shocks as you may bounce around town.

Oh yeah, the Tein basics are good too.

I would rather spend more money on the basic dampers if they are going to last longer.

I see nothing wrong with that approach

You only need lowering springs and like Eibach Springs they are cheap and will last longer.

I don't recomment DUMPERS for a daily driver. they are very stiff really good for TRACKs not street use.

it so stiff that you will be having headaches everytime you hit a pot hole.

Or Coil over Springs shocks are good but very expensive.

I recommend just buy the Lowering Springs by Eibach (not sure about the spelling) it will lower your car about 2.5 inches or depending on the Springs you use.

For shocks I would by KYB it is almost performance but better than the OEM Shocks

buy them at Horsepowerfreaks.com from Oregon

By the way if you have snow in your area I RECOMMEND NOT LOWER YOUR CAR. Leave the way it is.

Why? When it snow you will bePLOWING ALOT OF HARD ICE under your carriage. you will be plowing ice, road hazard material that you couldn't see when cover with Snow.

For short I will notrecommend lowering your car if you live in a Snow area
