Suspension Is your ride slammed to the ground? Did you lift it so high you need a ladder to get in?

Default Can i do it myself?

Hi i was wondering, if i got lowering springs for my 98 eclipse spyder, if it is easy enough for a not so experienced mechanic to install? Is there any modification that has to b done? or is it just swapping oem for aftermarket?

there is no modification however i would highly suggest you get better struts as well because lowering the car will put more wear on the stock struts and will eventually blow them out. So your better off doing it now. As far as the install its not too difficult. Im sure you could find a how to online somewhere. As long as you have a basic tool set you should be fine. Only thing you will need to do is go to autozone and rent a spring compression tool.

H&R is good. Also Tien makes decently priced springs. And even megan arnt bad either. Just try and stay away from the no name ebay knockoff stuff. As far as struts you can look into some KYB or tokicos
