i just replaced a CV joint and its making noise from the same side when i make right hand turns. should i take it out and check it or should i let a professional do it.

I had something like that too. It was also when i want over bumps or anything. It turned out that there was lots of crap behind the wheel and it wasnt able to be foxed on tight enough because of all the crap and once it was cleaned out... it was fine

 

and it seems like it only makes noise(i can feel it to), when the clutch is fully engaged and i give it gas. A mechanic said wheel bearing im not sure i agree because the noise happens on right turns. and most of the weight would be on the outside wheel.(he said passenger bearing i already did the drivers side)

 

if it only does it on a turn then "most likely" its a wheel bearing. I had the same retarded issue with my AWD. One went bad then the other. Although when i had mine replaced the bearing was rusted to the axle (so new axle), then the ABS sensor was rusted to the old axle (so new ABS sensor). It really sucked

 

this seems odd but I beat the crap outta the old CV shaft and old hub assumbly and I could not get them to come apart I had to replace everything but I put anti- cease on everything .

so you think it could be the bearing then too?

 

i pot way over 700 pounds of pressure on a halfshaft on my old bmw and it didn't BUDGE. ended up using a fattie drift bar, block of metal and a like 50 pound sledge hammer. Oh, it came out... but bent the subframe and trailing arm, so be careful with that ****. Take off the wheel and see if you can see anything. Make sure the halfshaft's all the way in, and the bolt's torqued to spec.
