ckracer76: How did u manage to get the factory threaded bolts fully engaged at the nuts? My factory bolts are a bit short for the strut bar's bracket's holes like only about 90% in the nuts. But it is okay for 4 years already...so.

I'll keep looking.

Interesting. I'm happy to report we didn't have any issue with the factory bolts. They engaged fully although I didn't measure them or have any reason to be concerned.

Really strange! If you look at my original posted picture, you will see that the nut still have about 10% threads to the top of the threaded bolts. The same strut & same factory bolts?? Maybe some of the factory bolts are short? Mine is 2018 Outlander PHEV, what year is yours?

Ckracer76: here are the front gas lifts that I bought from the Chinese Taobao for about $14 US a pair plus shipping though, The shocks came with all the adapter clips to fit the outlander. The web site is in Chinese only so you need to have Chinese friend to order for you. TaoBao is a lot cheaper than aliexpress but they are all owned by Alibaba. They are still working great!
