What kind of oil filter do i need to use,and not to use.IT is a 03 es 2.4 litre and i do not have a dealership in town.thanks

also what sizeis the oil drain plug i want to get one before i change the oil.i bought one before that was listed for a car and it did not fit thanks

I've always used fram oil filters, asfar as a drain plug goes did you get that magnetic one that is all over ebay?

My wife had a Mustang(rustang i mean lol)and i had to buy new plug and the book and computer called for one that was wrong size and my wife had to come get me so i could buy a new one that fits.I don't want to go though that again i want to buy one that is right the 1st time thanks btw it was a magnet kind but i sold the car before i changed the oil

The 2003 Galant uses the same engine as a 2002. All you have to do is go to Walmart/Target/any auto parts store and go look in the catalog provided. For the drain plug you have to go to an Auto parts store unless you want to buy a SURE DRAIN plug from Walmart that restricts any buildup in the engine from coming out.
