Anyone hear or have a problem with the Endeavor. Mine is 3 years old (June 2010), it has 52k miles on it and for the last 6 or so months it requires 1 quart of oil monthly (~1700-2000 miles/monthly). The dealer is saying this is within specs?

 

Hi yes i know im late but i just started to have the same problem, im puzzled this has happen to me twice. i dont know what to do. i am not having any other problems, it runs smooth like a baby, but when its time for my oil change its very low or no oil at all this is very scary for me because this is my fourth mitsubishi of all kinds, i have not ever had a problem with my vehicles. There is no leak what so ever oil just disappears Can someone help me?

 

When we originally bought our Endeavor in 06 I noticed that it too used a lot of oil. I talked the the dealership about it and while I don't remember the numbers, they said that manufacturer specs allowed for a lot of oil use. It was some ridiculous amount, but I guess that's the way the engine is. We now have 90K on it.

 

I have a 2006 endeavor and I go through about 3/4 of an oil can every 4 to 6 weeks, been this way since I bought the car new. I make it a point to check the oil level every month. Like the previous post the dealer said it does use up oil - have no idea where it goes since i have no leaks.

 

3/4 qt every 3k-4k miles seems to be our normal.

 

yes, i go through about 1 quart every 3K to 4K miles - dealer said that this is normal and I've read in other forums that that it normal - so remember to check your oil in between oil changes or going on long trips.
