I have a 1989 Mitusbishi Galant, auto, 4 banger with just over 100,000 miles on it. The radiator cracked a few weeks ago and I had it patched. The patch held for a couple of weeks then started leaking so I got a new radiator to put in it yesterday. It had been running just a little warmer than usual, nothing to be concerened about, though, as it never overheated or got close to being in the red. (I checked the fluid everytime I needed to goanywhere, filled it as necessary, and kept water with me just in case it ever got hot.) However, yesterday when returning home from work it started to overheat. I pulled over and let it cool down for about 30 minutes. Was only about 2 miles from the house. Started it up again and let it coast most of the way home in neutral however it started to run hot again getting close to the red. It diedat the bottom of the driveway. It isn't seized as the engine cranks or turns over, however, it won't start. The fuel pump is functional and there is spark at the plugs. The battery is good. terminals are clean, yet itcranks a little slower than it normally would. It won't even start with starting fluid. Can anyonegive me a little help out there? I am up the creek if I don't get this car running asap. Thanks in adavance to anyone caring to take a stab at this.
