Default Clutch Adjustment Location

Hey ya'll!

I have a 1990 Mirage, standard, 1.5L. This model does not have the hydraulic clutch (at least according to my Chilton's). My problem is that my clutch pedal is going all the way to the floor and barely engages the transmission. I'm pretty sure I just need to adjust the cable, but all the Chilton says is thatthe adjustment nut islocated "at the firewall", no diagram or other description.

Is this adjustment under the dash or in the engine compartment? Help!

Thanks!

Well check the firewall in the engine first. if not check the inside ofyour car.

hello. the clutch cable comes out of the fire wall on the drivers side. you have to grab the cable itself and pull it, so it frees the adjuster wheel. turn the adjuster wheel in, meaning going twords the firewall. that might give you a little time, but not much. when you have that much play in the pedal its gettin time for a new clutch!! good luck!! greg
