Hello hello
I was looking at my downloaded factory Manuel for my 1998 Montero sport V6 and there if a section describing the " ENGINE " oil cooling system . was this an option cause I don't have it on my Montero.

I did have a rebuilt engine installed and could the garage people abandoned the system and plugged the oil ports

I'm sure the Manuel isn't referring that engine oil cooler is really the trans.cooler .. I had an issue with oil leaking from the pan and did a double replacement .

Where would I find the oil ports on the block so if needed I can reinstall lines and cooler
