check maybe autozone. They sell haynes manuals. Not sure about your car but its a start. If they dont have it on the shelves then ask and maybe they can order one. They are only $20. If they dont have one then it looks like the dealer is the only option

I got mine on eBay for my 2003, just try a search on the site. It's an electronic version on CD. Mitsubishi was smart in limiting production of manuals, as it forces folks to go to the pros.

Post up what you think of those manuals. I got a similar one for my VW golf and it was a crappy early edition mitchell guide.
In my experience I definitely prefer the real factory service manual over any of the various alternatives I've ever seen. FWIW, all mitsu factory manuals are available. You just have to order them at your local dealership. They are expensive however.
